Functions of Tensioner & Idler Bearing
Belt driven outer ring mechanism is inherent in this style. Tensioner bearing is positioned at slack side.(Idler bearing at limited side) There are many styles according to engine types.

Tensioner and idler bearing consists of basic components like inner ring, external ring, retainer, grease and seal. Pulley may be added to modify rotation ratio.
