The fundamental dimensions of a sprocket appropriate for any chain pitch of 1 mm are respectively called pitch diameter aspect, tip diameter aspect and caliper diameter element. The respective factors for respective numbers of teeth are listed below. If these elements are multiplied by chain pitch, the fundamental dimensions from the corresponding sprocket is usually obtained.

Calculation formulas for tooth gap varieties
